As Music Composer

71 pieces of background music compiled from all the music Ray composed between 1961 and 1991

The first long-playing record released in the history of the Bengali cinema. Not only the songs, a number of instrumental pieces were also included

In Hirak Rajar Deshe , Ray blended the folk Baul tradition and classical Karnataki with his own unique style .

For his earlier films, even for his first musical, Ray wrote his songs and tunes in European style
